Questions to Ask Your Framer

Whether it is for fine art framing or sport memorabilia framing, you should ask your framer a few questions before you get started. At Rosenbaum Framing, we provide custom art framing in South Florida with expert framers who have years of experience in the industry. Know how to separate the experts from the amateurs by asking your framer these questions.

What do you suggest?

This is one of the most important questions to ask your framer. While it may seem simple, this allows you to see how knowledgeable your framer is. If your framer responds with a shoulder shrug and one option, then they probably do not know what they are talking about. If you ask your custom framer this question and they respond with questions of their own, they probably have a good bit of experience and will be able to find the right frame for your item.

How do you ensure that what I am framing will remain in good condition?

When you ask your framer this question, they should respond with some art preservation techniques. These techniques may include using UV protective glass or acid-free archival matting. Especially if you want professionally framed art or have valuable fine art items, this question is important.

Do you do art and framing consulting?

Having qualified art and framing consultants is what separates our framing in Boca Raton from the big box store down the street.  We have the expertise to help you pick out the perfect frame. Framers that have no experience with art and framing consulting will not have this same keen eye. Our art consultants will also be able to help you find a statement piece for your living room or sophisticated artwork for your office.

Do you deliver? Do you help with installation?

Both are questions you should ask a professional framer before you start a large project. Our Boca Raton frame shop offers help from our in-house shipping and logistics department as well as trusted third-party companies to get the job done right. If you choose a different framing company, you may be left to figure out these details on your own.

Do you offer crating services?

At Rosenbaum Framing, we offer fine art packing and crating services to ensure that your valuable framed art is protected if it needs to be shipped.

Do you offer commercial framing?

At Rosenbaum Framing we do commercial framing as well, which means that we have a lot of experience in the field of custom framing.

Before you decide to work with a custom framer, ask your framer these questions so that you can ensure you will get the best work possible and that the end result makes it safely to where it needs to go.
